Stemming Trucks with Slew Conveyer
Our Cobra AUSROAD stemming trucks, manufactured under licence in South Africa, have the ability to complete a bench of 200-300 holes in one shift with a single operator and a pre-set amount of stemming aggregate in each hole. A slew conveyor for stemming holes close to the edge of the bench is optional. The entire process is fully controlled from the driver’s seat via an intuitive operator interface and in-cab joystick, enhancing operator safety and optimise efficiency. Proportional hydraulic control capabilities enable precise stemming material control and placement, delivering up to 1,000kg/min stemming rate and up to 16m³ of stemming aggregate per load.
AUSROAD has effectively revolutionised the stemming process within open cut mines with much of their machine R&D having been done in collaboration with major mining and resource companies. Their stemming solutions range in size from 1.5m³ remote control contour loaders to 16.5m³ heavy stemming trucks. Contour loaders can be remotely controlled from a distance, whilst still maintaining their accuracy.
Our stemming trucks ensure there are fewer unpredicted vehicle movements onsite, ensuring reduced dust and heat exposure for ground staff. Productivity is increased due to faster, more economical stemming, resulting in reduced material wastage and optimised efficiency. Our equipment ensures that there is no double-handling in the stemming process.
These units are suitable for 8 x 8, 6 x 8, and 8 x 4 on-highway chassis cabs.
